Play Ball!

(if you are here for the NSD blog train, please scroll down)

Not so sure if I'm ready for this...

Look at all that dirt!
Oops, no baseball pants OR cleats. Slacker Mom!

Evan found entertainment by running 3/4 of a mile. I may join him next time.

Anna loved bugging her brothers, stealing their hats. Such a little annoying sister! Doing her job well!

I can't believe I gave in! I'm really not into busying up our lives, but we've decided to make this a family affair. Rob is helping to coach Jared's team and worked it out that Tyler and Jared's practices are on the same evening and most of their games are on the same day. It's a non competitive Baptist league. No announcing winners. Cheering for the other team. I am so for it!

It was a muddy, drizzly morning. We were there for hours. BUT the boys had a blast. And we'll be back at it next weekend and the next and the next. We'll just be a little more prepared with activities, snacks, and coats for the little kids!

We loved the soccer league there! The whole non-competitive thing is wonderful. But I was ready for it to end at the end of the six weeks! Then we decided we would be a one sport family. I'm looking forward to all your pictures of the season though!

get ready-a lot of years ahead of you with this. My mom also had four kids and I was the only one who did not play sports (just love watching them). The pictures of the kids are as usual gorgeous. Here's to many fun weekends at the ball field!

Glad you are doing this. It is so good for the boys! Team play can teach them many things. Next time the cousins are together we will have to have a game. Remember when we used to play in the side yard? Good times...

The pictures were so cute of the kids. Jared looked like he was having alot of fun. I am glad that there is no score, that was what I hated when our kids were playing. The parents got too involved, and it is to be fun and learn the game. Anna looks like such a big tease, she is certainly going to give her brothers a run for their money. I really liked the picture of Evan running with Robert, I bet he loved that. Love Mom Kunz

What a fun time you guys are having together! I'm so glad it worked out for you guys. I especially love the dad coaching thing. Then they can play the game together when the season is over. So much fun!
