The World. The Moon. Deep Thoughts by Andrea Handey.

I don't know why, but I think 4 am visits by my daughter declaring, "I have to go potty!" are somewhat endearing.

And then when I realize that she has a fever, I ball her up and put her in the bed next to me.

And love every minute of it.

Morning 2. 3 am.

High fever and labored breathing.

Not really endearing.

But to be able to hold her heating pad body in my arms and swipe the sweaty hair from her face as I monitor her breathing patterns and pray my heart out for her, I am reminded of why I signed up for this job.

And even though I am beyond exhausted,...

I love these mommy moments.

I wouldn't trade them for the world.

Or even the moon.

Sniffle. Sniffle.

I've been so excited about going.

I even have flair.

But I can't leave my baby in the middle of the night when she needs me the most with a 15 year old kid asleep on my couch.

Anyone want my ticket for the midnight showing of New Moon?

Whaaaaaa!

If you're seriously giving it up, I'd be glad to take it off your hands. Who were you going with?

I am so tempted by that offer, but I'm watching two kids on Friday, and doing that without sleep seems like such a bad idea... Definitely give your ticket to Jen!

Oh-- and I hope your baby gets better soon, too! (Yeesh-- can we say, "So wrapped up in Twilight I'm forgetting what really matters?" Scary!)

I hope Anna gets better very soon. I hate when the kids get sick. I'd rather be sick than Preston. Hang in there. Hopefully she is all better by tomorrow and maybe you can catch the movie over the weekend!

I am sorry your baby is sick. Mine has been sick too and I have the nasty stomach flu. However you can fly out here and come to the movie with all four of us crazy girls on tuesdeay :) Just know we love you and I hope your family gets healthy and stays that way.

I love reading your thoughts about motherhood - your little ones are so lucky to have you on their side. :) Praying for quick healing for the kiddos.
