We just got back from the dentist!! Each boy only had one cavity!!!
I know. Great news.
(You can refer to here, to see why.)
The dentist was surprised that I was so relieved. She's new.
My only concern, though, is how do I get the kids to floss on a regular basis...
We're lucky if we get all of the kids teeth brushed twice a day.
And sticking my hands in their germy mouths to help them get those molars (the culprits), blah...I know I'll end up with the swine flu for sure.
Suggestions? (I'm not against bribery.)

Hello cousin! Have you tried those floss aids, like Dentek fun flossers? (found here: http://www.dentek.com/shop.php?target=products&product_id=9 ) I know I hated flossing when I was little, mainly because my teeth were, and still are, close together, so it takes a bit of effort to get the floss in. I don't think I ever had a dentist appointment where they didn't find a cavity, so I empathize.
Good luck. I'm still working on getting your Dad to do it! A woman's work is never done. We are forever caregivers!
Are their teeth sealed? I had all of my girls back teeth sealed and Masey had her first tiny cavity a few months ago. It was on her back tooth. It wasnt all the way through the gum and a little piece of something got trapped under the flap of skin. Sealants or tie them up and let Rob tackle them while you floss! :)
I feel their pain- I always have at least one cavity at every check-up. My teeth are insanely close together so it's really hard for me to floss, too. Have you tried mouthwash with them? They have the kind now that restores minerals to your teeth. I know it's not a substitute for flossing, but maybe it would help a little? I am just praying our kids get Paul's teeth- mister "I don't do anything differently than Sarah but still have perfect teeth at every cleaning." Show off.
