So, I'm feeling really cool these days...not really, but it's my lame attempt at distracting myself from the impending sadness of my husband leaving for a month!
1. I love So You Think You Can Dance! The finale is this week and I'm so upset because I want them all to win and I will miss not seeing Mark dance. Yes, I know, he should have went a few weeks ago, but I heart him and wish he could have stayed--In place of who? I don't know, but this season has definitely drawn me in. And guess who's going to see them on tour (again)--yep, that's right...ME! I know, I ooze coolness...2. As a life long ABBA fan, my interest was peaked this week when my neighbor was leaving to see the movie "Mama Mia!". I'm not a movie fan, and rarely pay to see them, but I had always wanted to see the Broadway version. So when it came to date night, we decided to give it a go. And...I really enjoyed it! It may be too much for some, but I was expecting complete cheese and obnoxiousness on the movies part, so I was not disappointed. I was, however, disappointed that I was denied dancing in the aisles because "it is a fire hazard."
3. "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" is quickly approaching its' release date and I could not be LESS excited. Yet, with my hubby being out of the country, it will be my "good parent" duty to take the boys to see the movie and to go to McDonalds a hundred times to collect the pointless happy meal toys. Oh, the things we do for our children...P.S. Jared's party went well, even though we had to scramble to change the party plans at last minute due to rain. It was his "most favorite party ever" so I guess it was a success. Unfortunately, the kids ran around so fast the entire time, that it was hard to get a decent picture. I'll see what I can come up with later...
4. And last but not least...I have finally jumped on the "Twilight" bandwagon--I'm always so late with these things (i.e. Harry Potter), but when I do jump on, I go at full force. I'm enjoying the first book ( I have about 100 pages left) and look forward to reading the rest of them. After I finish the dry "James Adams" for book club, that is. So now I have something to look forward to--the movie comes out in December, right? And I see that the cutie of a kid who played Cedric in Harry Potter will be playing Edward...hmmm...
So, these are the "cool" things consuming my life right now. I hope you're all having some fun, too!

Yeah, SYTYCD was so hard to watch last week! Everyone is so good, I didn't know who should go! And I'm so glad I'm not there for John Adams! hehe
Hi Sister Kunz! Jordyn dragged me into this whole blog thing. We'll see how long it lasts. :) Twilight is apparently everywhere now. I read the first three books, and we tried to get the last one but they are sold out absolutely everywhere! It's insanity. I hope you enjoy reading the series as much as I did,and will continue to as soon as I get my hands on the last one. :)
I feel you on the Star Wars movie. Ugh. I guess I am fortunate that Preston is too small to like it yet. I love that you talk about going to Mc'Ds to collect the toys. I remember the McD's monopoly game-we begged to go there a million times to try to win money or a speed boat-we would win like a hamburger!
We'll be here for you during that long month your hubby is away-but I feel for you!
becca & i went to see mamma mia & we both loved it! we danced in our seats instead of the isle:)
I am so excited to go see SYTYCD too! I'm glad I don't have to go see Clone Wars. But I know a way for you to get out of it if you like. We can send Brandon or Kyle with them. I've done the McD thing so many times over the years, and glad to be past that. I was surprised you went to see Mama Mia! Even I'm not sure about that one. And the Twilight thing, I really want to start, I just need to get the book. Yeah, Nov. 10th!!!!
Hi Andrea
Garth and I saw the play of MaMa Mia in Las Vegas the last time we went, so I don't plan on seeing the movie. Great music that gets you moving. If you need someone to discuss the book Twilight give me a call, I have read all the books but the last one. I went to buy the last book and it was sold out and haven't made it back yet to get it, though I am tempted to wait on reading it, for when we fly out this month so I have something to read on the plane. Remember you also have those two books that I gave you to read that are really good. Just ask Laura?
Love Mom Kunz
I'm glad that you finally jumped on the Twilight wagon. I am about to finish the last book and it is sad to know that it is all over. I'm glad you're liking them. They are very good, even if they are about vampires.
As for SYTYCD, I am so routing for Joshua and Katee.
Fun post! Like you, I'm thinking of jumping on the Twilight train. I really miss my Harry Potter books so I need a new obsession!
Cat
I love reading your stuff. It makes me want to get back to it myself. We shall see. I love you!
Ok so I went and bought twilight yesterday- I figured if you liked it so would I. Today I went back to buy the second book (already finished the first) and I just ordered the last two on Amazon. I had never even heard of it until your blog! Thanks for the heads up, I right on the wagon with you :)
I think I posted twice... I did not think it was working sorry...
Andrea I love so you think you can dance too and I heart Mark as well
The dance Bleeding love with Chelsea was my favorite and now that you are on the Twilight wagon watch it again on YouTube and think of Bella and Edward....
Love the buzz. Mama Mia not that great of a movie, but LOVE ABBA. My sisters and I were so moved by the music that we jumped up and danced around the theater at the end.
Long time no see. I need to go to play group and catch up.
