Tarnished and Varnished

There is nothing like a callused, peeling, and dried out foot to make you realize "I need a break!"

I was overjoyed and giddy as soon as the countdown to "the first pedicure of the season" began. Thursday evening could not come soon enough!

Now, having the self-proclaimed "most ticklish feet ever", you'd think I wouldn't enjoy this so much, but I do! I remember getting a gift card several years ago from Emily for my b-day to get a pedicure and I was really nervous--thinking I'd kick someone, or pee my pants or strain a muscle from being so tense. But it never happened, instead I only cringe and jerk a bit! And it's ALL worth it in the end! My feet can't be used as sandpaper anymore and I won't be embarrassed now if anyone sees my toes!

And I loved the name of my polish--Tarnished and Varnished. Couldn't have been more perfect. The name alone sold me!

Looking forward to the next one already--probably sometime around the 4th of July--seems to be a tradition!!

I enjoyed your pedicure comments. The person who gives me my massage also does pedicures, and said she is going to give me a free pedicure. I have never had one before so it will be interesting to see how it turns out. I will have to let you know how it turns out.

I remember the first time I had a pedicure, I was having it with my mother in law(also a first timer), who must have been like 60 something at the time and she turned to me and said "I can't believe I have lived my whole life without this before!"

It truly is more wonderful that onyone can understand until they have done it!! - Valerie

I am a pedicure virgin. Maybe someday. But your toes look lovely.

Andrea,
Got to love the pedis! I go usually year round-slack a bit in the winter though! I just got mine done yesterday(usually only lasts with me 2 weeks). You need to try a hot paraffin wax pedicure where they dip your feet in hot wax and it really makes them super soft. I hear you on the sandpaper comment-my feet get so gross (I guess from wearing flip flops) and even though I scrub them morning and night, those hard edges just appear!
Your toes look great and I am glad that you enjoyed yourself-now eyebrow waxing-not so much!

I have Holy Pink Pagoda on my toes! I'm addicted--go at least once a month, year round!
