There will be change...

...whether it will be Obama or McCain, there will be change. Here's our proof that we were at the rally. A few things on my mind after returning home...

My husband is a good leader and I would follow him anywhere. Even through a prickly forest in the middle of the night.

Politics bring out the worst immaturity in people.

I never thought I was prone to claustrophobia, but after being crammed together with 100,000 people with no exit in sight, I realized that I didn't like it one little bit.

Obama is a rock star. I felt like I was at Lollapalooza.

I'm not easily persuaded.

It feels good realizing that VA is such important state in this election--so go vote my fellow Virginians !

I love being American. I love that we choose. I love that people take their vote seriously. I love that there is more than one choice. I just wish people would be a tad bit more tolerant of different opinions.

And I felt this overwhelming feeling that the Lord is mindful of us. I love that people can be faithful, God-fearing people and be Democrat or Republican or whatever.

So whatever you feel our country needs right now, go and express it at the polls tomorrow.

I voted last Tuesday for early voting! I was so excited to vote. What I can't stand is that some of my friends and family are so proud that they are NOT voting. It makes me sick. Like that's making a statement or something. To me it just makes them look unimformed and lazy...but that's just me.

You wanna talk immaturity, you should see the Prop 8 debate here in California - and I've been just as guilty as anyone else of acting like an idiot! Eesh - it can be so embarrassing when you face up to it...

Anyway, I'm totally excited you had the chance to go to something like that - I'm jealous of all my friends who are voting in "battleground" states and whose vote might actually help decide a close election! Congrats on your level of involvement, and very level-headed take on the situation!

We were on the lookout, but didn't see you! I totally agree about the claustrophobic deal..that was a new one for me...but WOW what an amazing experience. So glad I went. It really makes this Canadian-American proud to be able to share in the process!

Why does Obama mock me by having a big rally in Manassas three months after we move away?!?!?!

Glad you got to go and have a good time! Eat a Chick-fil-a sandwich for me!! Can't wait for my free ice cream. : )

Glad you all had fun. I could not bring myself to be tortured like that. I get up at 4:45 and it was hard enough getting to sleep over the sound of the rally and helicopters. I have had more than enough of the politics for now though as it has just become increasingly petty and bitter over the years. Many of us are not old enough to have a really good time frame to look back on but from my slightly longer one than most of you, I must say that it feels like politics is sinking lower and lower every year. Still, I can say it is better than anywhere else and I am glad to have my say on election day. Yes, I voted.

We are so stoked that he won last night! Yeah! That is great that you went to the rally! Did I tell you we are moving to Texas in 3 weeks? And I am now about 5 months pregnant?
